Eric Altoon

Eric Altoon is Of Counsel at Salis Law. Mr. Altoon specializes in representing local, national, and international clients (lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers, developers, architects and contractors) in a variety of complex real estate transactions for office, industrial, commercial, retail, hospitality, gaming, residential, telecommunications and low-income housing projects, including the following:
(i) leasing (office, retail, industrial, ground) and property management
(ii) acquisitions and dispositions
(iii) financing (acquisition, construction, permanent, mezzanine, refinance, workouts, restructurings and modifications, foreclosures, short sales, sale of distressed REO and notes)
(iv) construction and development
(iv) LEED certification of newly constructed buildings and interior commercial space of existing buildings. Mr. Altoon is also one of approximately 120 attorneys in California to be designated a LEED® AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional), which makes him qualified as an expert in the field of sustainable design with a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles (e.g., energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, and improved indoor environmental quality), and the LEED Green Building Rating System, to provide advice on leasing, acquiring, disposing, and financing of LEED certified projects and assist clients with obtaining certification in accordance with the LEED Rating System

Mr. Altoon is currently an Executive Committee member and the Treasurer of the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (“LACBA”). Previously, Mr. Altoon served as the Secretary of the Real Property Section of LACBA and the Chair of the General Real Property Subsection of LACBA and on the Planning Committee of the Urban Land Institute and the Board of Directors for the San Fernando Valley Green Team.
