Gina Samore Smith

Gina Samore Smith brings more than fifteen years of experience in real estate and land use law to her role as Of Counsel. Her practice encompasses a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters, including representing financial institutions in construction, bridge, and permanent loan originations and workouts; handling commercial real estate transactions such as leases, acquisitions, and dispositions; managing distressed asset deals; and securing entitlements through collaborations with city planning departments and the California Coastal Commission.
Before pausing her career to raise her family, Gina practiced at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, where she concentrated on real estate and land use matters. She subsequently served as in-house counsel for a commercial real estate lender, supporting various business units including construction lending. In this capacity, Gina provided counsel on all aspects of loan origination, loan documentation, and loan closing, managed outside counsel, and advised and supported the servicing division on post-closing loan matters.

Gina obtained her JD from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly University of California, Hastings College of the Law).
